About the Artist

Nancy Wait

Nancy Wait was born in Chicago in 1949 and grew up in Manhattan. She began her professional life as an actress in England during the 1970s, performing in film, TV and theater under the name Nancie Wait. When she returned to New York in the late 70s she began a career in painting that included commissioned portraits and architectural renderings alongside her visionary work. These intuitive paintings from her imagination led her to give up painting for a while in order to write a memoir, �The Nancy Who Drew.� Since 2009 Nancy has also been hosting the blog talk radio show, Art and Ascension, and more recently Dancing in the Shift.
